KUUTO - Environmentally Friendly Kettle
This was my final project for my Industrial Design course at Loughborough University.
Introduction
On average, kettles last approximately 2-3 years. Designs tend to have an assembly of glued parts and clip fittings, making repairing them impossible. Kettles also
waste energy through reboiling; an estimated £68 million worth of energy is wasted each year in the UK alone. This energy is wasted through unnecessary reboiling when the water is already hot enough, for example, green tea only requires water to be 70 degrees celsius. Kuuto is an environmentally friendly solution.
